Vodka Sauce Memo

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Recently some of my loyal vodka sauce lovers have brought it to my attention that they have seen a slight difference in the color of this sauce. I noticed this variation in color, but I want to ensure you that the recipe has NOT changed. No corners were cut or cheaper ingredients used. I want to make that perfectly clear. I placed several calls to my tomato supplier in California and they assured me that the deeper color in the sauce is the result from the darker crop of tomatoes that we received.

Last week, I went back to the plant to make the Vodka sauce. I have to say that this batch I made was exceptional. It was truly awesome! So, thank all of you for sending me your concerned emails and please keep them coming. I am happy that all of you love my Vodka sauce and I wanted to make sure that you all know that its back to normal. So I hope that you try the Vodka sauce once again. :)

Sauceboy’s New Nickname: Lasagnaboy

Sunday, March 16th, 2008

After last night’s show on the Food Network, we have had so many requests for the lasagna. I still would love for everyone to try the meatballs and the different sauces, because the sauces rock :) Remember, the key to great lasagna is both the sauce and the meatballs.

Requesting the sauce and meatballs in your local grocery store is the only way to bring what you saw last night to your store. Trust me, the stores will listen. Just put a bug in their ear ;)

So as not to confuse anyone, my name hasn’t changed. People still call me The Sauceboy . . . for now.

Shipping Sauce All Over The Country

Thursday, February 14th, 2008

In a million years, I never thought that people would be ordering sauces all over the country. We have been blessed that the Food Network recognized our time-honored tradition of making great sauce. This has made all of you aware of my family and how we make our great food. I am happy that I can share this with you. Food, to me, is exciting.

Being a small company here in Vermont, it’s proved challenging to expand these products (sauce & meatballs) in other stores across the country. Over the years, I’ve noticed that when a customer requests a product in their favorite store, those stores typically find a way to carry that product. So, in hoping that it is not too much to ask, I would like to make this respectful request of you: If you like enjoy our sauce and/or meatballs, my brother and I would appreciate it if you would request the Bove’s sauce & meatballs in your favorite, local grocery store. Never think that your recommendation will go unnoticed. Everyone’s request is always considered. The stores want to please their customers. It is our hope that we can please all of you :)

Thank you for taking and talking up our sauce & meatballs. We hope to see you on the shelves in your store soon!
